Canberra Dance Collective Complaints Procedure

Canberra Dance Collective aims to provide a high quality and efficient service and therefore takes all complaints about its service seriously.

The Directors of Canberra Dance Collective respond to all complaints and ensures that they are managed efficiently, courteously and confidentially.

In the event of an individual being dissatisfied with the service being offered, these are the steps to follow;

Informal - Your expression of concern should be made to us at the earliest opportunity. First talk to the teacher most closely concerned to clarify the facts and resolve through discussion (this should not be done during class time and an appropriate time should be arranged to do so). A request for discussion with the Directors of Canberra Dance Collective may also be desirable before making a formal complaint. This can be done in person where available, or via email to the email address below.

Formal Complaint - If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your informal complaint you may wish to make a formal complaint. The complaint should be detailed in writing to the Directors either by letter or email to the addresses below. The complaint will be logged and acknowledged. The Directors will reply directly to the complainant within 14 days.

Canberra Dance Collective endeavour to deal with enquiries and complaints efficiently and fairly however if the complainant is not satisfied with the response, a formal written submission should be sent to the Directors within 14 days of their reply.

If all attempts to resolve the complaint have been unsuccessful, you may refer your complaint to Australian Teachers of Dancing. They are unlikely to investigate individual issues but can inspect the school’s policies and procedures and make sure these have been followed.
